Where Did This Idea Come From?
Microsoft MVP Stephane Eyskens has been an active member of this community (the Azure Developer Community) for years, as an active member on this blog. He has had a very successful series of blog posts, that show the Azure Architecture Maps:

This book holds the honor of recently being the #1 New Release in Distributed Systems & Computing (on Amazon, for the Kindle):
Why does this book exist? It’s not just that Stephane found a basic idea (architecture maps) that resonates with our developers. There’s something powerful about how these maps capture so much information at once. Everybody seems to be able to learn something from them.
This is my fifth book I’ve co-authored (see all 5), and 15th that I’ve been involved in publishing in some way. (For an example, I wrote the foreword on Visual Studio 2019: Tricks and Techniques, which was released on January 15, 2021.) Although this is Stephane’s first book in English, he has written 3 books in French. Here is Stephane’s MVP profile.
